Terms of service
Last updated 26 August 2026
The short version
- The consent popup is free on one website, and it stays free.
- Paid plans are monthly, with no setup fee and no lock-in. Cancel and it stops at the end of the month you have paid for.
- We install and maintain the tool. You are responsible for telling us what your site actually does.
- The tool helps you comply. It does not make you compliant, and we are not your lawyer.
- Malaysian law applies.
Who you are dealing with
Orbix Compliance is a service of Orbix Tech Sdn Bhd, registered in Malaysia and based in Kuala Lumpur. In these terms, "we" and "us" mean that company, and "you" means the person or business using the service.
Using the service means you accept these terms. If you are agreeing on behalf of a company, you are confirming you are allowed to.
The free consent popup
We provide the consent popup at no charge for one website, and we install it for you. It is free with no card, no trial period and no automatic upgrade to anything paid.
Free means free, but it does not mean unconditional. We may decline to install it, or withdraw it, where a site is unlawful, where the request is plainly abusive, or where the volume of traffic makes it unreasonable to carry for nothing. If we ever do that we will tell you why and give you time to move.
Each installed popup carries a small "Powered by Orbix Compliance" link. That is how the free tier pays for itself. Removing it is a paid option, so ask if you want it gone.
Paid plans
Paid plans cover keeping the popup accurate over time, keeping your privacy policy in step with it, and handling data requests, depending on the plan you choose.
- Billed monthly in advance, in Ringgit.
- No setup charge.
- Cancel whenever you like. The service runs to the end of the period you have already paid for, and we do not pro-rate part months.
- Prices can change. Existing customers get at least 30 days' notice before a change affects them.
What we do
- Install and configure the consent tool on the website you nominate.
- Re-check that site on the schedule your plan sets, and update what the popup lists.
- Keep the privacy notice we produce for you matching what your site actually does.
- Answer you within a reasonable time when something breaks.
What you do
- Tell us the truth about what your website collects and what you do with it. We can see the tags, we cannot see your intentions.
- Confirm you are entitled to make changes to the website you give us.
- Tell us when you add a new tracking tool, rather than waiting for our next check to find it.
- Review what we produce before it goes live. It is your notice, published in your name.
Availability
We aim to keep the service running continuously and we do not promise that it will be. Hosting fails, providers have outages, and things need maintenance. We will not pretend otherwise in a contract.
Liability
Where the law allows us to limit it, our total liability to you for any claim connected with the service is capped at what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. For the free tier, that figure is zero, which is the honest consequence of it being free.
We are not liable for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable, for lost profit or lost business, or for a regulatory penalty that follows from information you gave us being wrong or incomplete.
Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
Ending it
You can stop any time. We can end a paid plan with 30 days' notice, or immediately if payment stops or the terms are seriously breached. When it ends we will hand back the consent records generated on your site, or delete them, whichever you ask for. The popup stops being maintained, and you should remove it or replace it.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms we will update the date at the top. For paid customers, changes that materially affect you take effect at your next renewal, not immediately.
Law
These terms are governed by Malaysian law, and the Malaysian courts have jurisdiction.
